Introduction to the Dialog.Builders Project and Ecosystem on Linkedin

3 min readFeb 22, 2026

A Very Warm Welcome!

The Dialog.Builders project is targeting to achieve rebalancing of one’s screen-time, face-time and reflection; goal being to escape our current restrictive social bubbles. From this isolated starting point a main hurdle to take is to get in touch with “strangers” and to listen to their opinions; submerging oneself in the thoughts or positions of the other, developing empathy.

The present lack of contact with the unknown is, in my opinion, a main cause of humanity drifting apart; (re)connecting will bring mankind closer together or create convergence as I name it.

The targeted communication, either being on-line or in person, has three envisioned degrees of depth:

The first (“local”) level is a fact-finding level where one can ask “someone local” questions as a more direct alternative source of one’s information, circumventing the added political narratives of today’s mass media.

The second (“fellow”) level is about establishing a connection between people; it targets to establish more durable personal relationships between “equals”.

The third (“guide”) level goes a step further and tries to establish a relationship between teachers and students. It tries to facilitate access to mentors or guides both on a worldly as well as on a spiritual excellence level. It explores unknown territory with the target to reflect and create meaning this way.

To achieve the above goals, Dialog.Builders’ ecosystem consists of seven communities and it uses Linkedin groups’ infrastructure as a carrier.

The first community is an overarching Linkedin group under the name dialog.builders. Here anyone can exchange information. The other six Linkedin groups are meant as platforms for active participants and to facilitate the exchange between them.

“Ask” means primarily virtual contact in this context, whereas “Borrow” follows the logic of borrowing a human, similar to borrowing a book from a library; it is meant to enable more in-depth face-to-face encounters.

The six parallel active participant’s Linkedin sub-groups are named: www.askalocal.earth, www.borrowalocal.earth, www.askafellow.earth, www.borrowafellow.earth, www.askaguide.earth and www.borrowaguide.earth.

The communities’ basis is reciprocity; only group members can be contacted and can contact others in the group. The Ask-a-Guide and Borrow-a-Guide sub-communities differ slightly in their approach. Not everyone will be able to fulfill the role of a mentor. Still, membership of the latter two sub-communities assumes, whenever possible, allowing others to access one’s own area of excellence. Many people possess such virtuousness-based personal qualities and can share them.

The Dialog.Builders ecosystem entirely follows a non-commercial path; it is meant to be freely accessible for everyone on Linkedin. Still, it is exclusively the group member’s decision to enter into dialog with anyone requesting this.

My hope is that you will join Dialog.Builders and one or more of the Linkedin six sub-communities and through interaction with strangers contribute to a world growing together instead of drifting apart.

Warm Regards,

Johannes Cornelis (Hans) van Nieuwkerk
