Make — Earth — Great — Again (Personal End of Year Reflection)

Looking back at 2025, the world is on fire; humanity is drifting apart in endless wars and conflicts all around the globe. Furthermore, mankind is becoming increasingly polarized in M-A-G-A type of self-centered political camps, amplifying human otherness instead of resemblance.
In July 2025 I started my initiative www.dialog.builders, an action to stimulate contact between strangers as a bridge towards dialog and getting closer to each other. However, after a week and without any possibility to appeal, my decade old personal Facebook account got deleted and all content of the related group destroyed.
Still, the challenges did not disappear. If people want to address the issues of our time like conflicts, inequality, forced migration and climate-change, they will need to get closer and cooperate. This is what M-E-G-A is all about. It represents the overarching framework needed to build any type of personal application for growing together or convergence.
Meanwhile, many individuals feel lost. There are two aspects here. People feel not listened to and overruled in situations where they clearly protest. Secondly, increasingly living in safe isolated social bubbles, people are becoming silent or ignorant to the injustices outside of their reduced worldview.
The first aspect reflects that our political (local and) international structures like the UN and its international law based courts are failing on us and are urgently in need of a thorough overhaul. If this does not happen soon, the world governance structures we actually need more than ever today will become obsolete and enter into oblivion.
The second aspect reflects a general personal attitude shift over time from “What can I contribute to my environment?”, rooted in (inter)dependence, to “What is in it for me?”, as a result of our growing material independence. Human cohesion is often reduced or ignored in our technological-progress-oriented modern societies; a trend that has to be balanced or reversed.
Looking at the type of problems mankind presently faces, all issues dominantly originate from a lack of self-regulation. Our uncontrolled and unlimited (“the sky is the limit” type of) individual-human-footprint growth causes tension within humanity, leading to violence and wars. On top, it invokes external irreversible environmental damage, which leads to climate catastrophes.
M-E-G-A’s target is therefore to (re-)enable a focus on individual contribution to one’s social or societal environments, voluntarily restraining one’s individual space in order to reduce the above tensions. This approach is based on my information philosophy cultural communication models.

Finally, M-E-G-A fully follows a bottom-up approach; it means that every individual can contribute to change, and that there is no excuse not to do so. If enough people participate, we will create a better future world for humanity together and make-earth-great-again.
