The Interactive “Information Philosophy” Model

2 min readDec 7, 2025

The development of the “Information Philosophy” cultural communication model started back in 1990 after a two-year world trip by car and has been continued ever since for more than 35 years. The current model possesses a -draft- status and is meant for personal use only, it can contain errors, please report these when you find them at jcn@crp.foundation, this is very much appreciated!

The assumption behind the model is that humans have three tools to communicate namely -1- rational argumentation, -2- emotional storytelling and -3- spiritual contemplation/meditation/prayer and that the difference in use/balance between these three dimensions largely explains the cultural differences between people around the world.

By now, the model is fully interactive and can be navigated by clicking the buttons. Due to technical limitations it is in some cases necessary to switch between two different parts of the model (Pe and Po toggle switch).

In principle is the model self-explanatory. But in order to have a better understanding, it is advisable or necessary to read three articles about it:

-1- A general introduction: www.convergence.builders

-2- A more detailed explanation of the Spiritual component: www.samadeus.org

-3- A more detailed explanation of the bottom-up Individual component: www.dialog.builders

A book about the model is work in progress, but unfortunately still a few years away…..

The actual model is available for personal use only in two formats, as an interactive PDF or as a PowerPoint ppsx file. In case you want to compare cultural maps, please just open the files twice.

Finally, a brief description of the buttons used in the model:

Direction = Switch between towards and away from a dimension

Dominance = Switch between the dominance between two dimensions

Rotation = Navigation aid for quick navigation between dimensions

Polarity = Switch between Convergent, Divergent, and Non-Polarized map polarity perspectives

Perspective = Switch between the available detailed perspectives: Personal, Institutional, Stereotype

C = (Spiritual complement, under development)

B = Switch to Bottom-up Personal Perspective (All Other Perspectives are assumed Top-Down)

T = Switch to Top-Down Personal Perspective (Only the Individual components change!)

Pe = Access to three perspectives, Personal, Institutional and Stereotype (Top-Down)

Po = Switch to Personal perspective only, access to Top-down and Bottom-up personal perspectives
